The mission of the SBDC network is to help new entrepreneurs realize their dream of business ownership, and assist existing businesses to remain competitive in the complex marketplace of an ever-changing global economy.

 The Small Business Development Centers (SBDC) are hosted by leading universities, colleges and state economic development agencies. They are funded in part through a partnership with the U.S. Small Business Administration, almost 1,000 service centers are available to provide no-cost business consulting and low-cost training and assist small business and entrepreneurs with their financing and growing a business challenges and needs.

Small business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs can go to their local SBDCs for free, face-to-face business consulting and at-cost training on writing business plans, accessing capital, marketing, regulatory compliance, international trade and more.  The SBDC network is a cost-effective way to create jobs, grow the economy, enhance American competitiveness and improve the quality of life for our communities.
